Alan trained in architecture at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, being nominated for the RIBA Student Silver Medal in his final year.
He moved to Jersey in 1988 and for over 20 years has been a practice principal based in the New Forest from where he has carried out projects throughout the South of England and the islands of Guernsey, Jersey and Alderney.
