Cedar Lodge will be a contemporary new house located opposite Sausmarez Manor near to Jerbourg headland. This energy efficient building will have granite feature walls with a natural slate roof. The large south facing sliding doors open out on to the existing mature gardens and a new poolhouse will be built to the east of the site. The house will provide spacious open plan living at ground floor level with a stunning entrance hall, double height space and feature staircase forming the core of the house. The large overhangs to the east, south and west of the site will reduce the solar gain in to the ground floor as well as providing a covered shelter to the terrace areas and covered route around the house.

The house will be built in traditional construction with cavity walls and a cut timber roof. The house will benefit from high levels of insulation, mechanical ventilation with heat recovery and will be heated by an air source heat pump. The property will also benefit from photovoltaic solar energy to ensure that the house can be run as efficiently as possible.
